PAUL ANDREW

Paul Andrew is a German-Australian musician, composer & arranger, who grew up in the south of Germany. During his studies in Jazz Saxophone (Bachelor/Mannheim) and Jazz Composition (Master/Berlin), he was already an active part of the German and European music scene. With his Funk/Soul band Fatcat he has played over 400 shows, including well-known events such as the legendary Montreux Jazz Festival or Fusion Festival, as well as live-performances on German national TV. He’s played as a support act for Raye, Jacob Collier, Chaka Khan, Jamie Cullum, Anastacia and many more. His own compositions have been played at festivals such as the Jazzopen (Stuttgart) and Jazzclubs all over Germany. Paul Andrew has recently cooperated with artists such as Jesús Molina, David Haynes, Philipp Lassiter, German rock-band the Deadnotes and rapper Chabezo - again showing his diversity in style and genre. In the last years he has spent quite some time in Bahia (Brazil), forming new connections and friendships. There he frequently works with upcoming artists such as singer Ângela Velloso or guitarist Tarcísio Santos.
